Pat Stefanski

Strength and Conditioning

Patrick joined the MBSC team after completing the summer 2017 internship program.  Patrick graduated Springfield College Class of 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance and a minor in Business Administration.  During his time at Springfield College Patrick was a two year captain for the Men’s Rugby Club, and two time League All Star Captain.  Patrick also has experience playing football, baseball, basketball, golf, and track and field.

Patrick has worked with a wide array of clients and teams ranging from middle school, high school, adults, professional athletes, and the USA Men’s Olympic 7s Rugby Team.  Patrick also volunteers with Lexington High School Football.  No matter the client, or goal, Patrick is driven to help the people he works with enjoy working toward their goals.

Patrick is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and Reflexive Performance Reset Level 2.

Cam McGhee

Strength & Conditioning

Cam did his internship at MBSC in the Winter of 2019 and is very excited to be back as a coach.

Cam trained at MBSC as an athlete through high school at Winchester High School and college at Plymouth State University. He was a 4-year starter on the Football team, and he received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Physiology.

Prior to working at MBSC, Cam worked at Equinox in Boston as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Personal Trainer working primarily with adult clients. He focused on helping clients to adopt a lifestyle that will not only make them feel and move better but more importantly live healthier lives both mentally and physically.  He has also worked with the Winchester High School Football team as a coach in the weight room and on the field.

Cam has a strong passion for helping athletes of all sports and ages to take their talents to the next level.

Cam is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the NSCA.

 

Lauren Martuscello

Strength & Conditioning
Lauren joined the MBSC team during Summer 2022. Prior to that, she completed her undergrad at Endicott College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology, as well as playing on the women’s soccer team.
Lauren went on to receive her master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning with a fellowship at Boston College in the olympic sports weight room.
Lauren is a certified functional strength coach with a concentrative certification in pre & postnatal training and is eager to continue her education in the field.

Breanna Gustin

Strength and Conditioning

As a strength coach, Bre wants to assist athletes and non-athletes to improve their athletic/physical performance and reach their fitness goals, so that they can feel good about themselves and live their healthiest life. Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning has been major part of her life since 2012 when she first joined a high school sports performance group. Fast forward to the summer of 2019, her last time training as an athlete at MBSC, Bre knew this was the place where she was meant to eventually start her career. She joined the team after interning in the Winter of 2020.

Bre graduated from Salve Regina University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. While at Salve, she had the privilege play on the Women’s Soccer team for 4 years, with teammates that are now lifelong friends. During her time at Salve Regina, Bre completed a strength and conditioning internship at their fitness center, where she assisted with team lifts and training sessions. When she would come home during the summers of her college years, Bre helped coach her high school summer soccer team at Arlington Catholic, as well as being a part of a women’s soccer league. Bre’s passion for health and fitness had grown stronger and she knew that she wanted to do something with that passion. Bre is extremely happy to be a part of the MBSC family now, and hopes to continue her education in Strength & Conditioning!

Ross St. Onge

Strength and Conditioning

Ross joined the MBSC staff after interning during the Summer of 21′. In May of 2021, Ross graduated from Springfield College with his M.S. in Strength & Conditioning.  Prior to that Ross attended Plymouth State University where he received a B.S. in Physical Education. 

Ross has interned at Springfield College working with men’s and women’s Lacrosse, as well as football. The University of Iowa, where he worked with a top 25 ranked division I college football team. During the 2020-2021 school year Ross acted as the head strength and conditioning coach at Westminster School in Simsbury C.T. where he coached all varsity sports teams. Ross creates a comfortable yet challenging environment where clients and athletes of all levels can make progress physically and mentally. Ross designs his programs to meet the specific needs of any individual he has the pleasure of coaching. Ross is a young ambitious strength and conditioning coach who is continuously trying to improve by asking questions, taking courses/certifications, and constantly coaching.

Megan Lynch

Strength & Conditioning

Megan joined the MBSC team in the Fall of 2021 after her summer internship. She graduated from Sacred Heart University with a degree in Exercise Science. Megan has a strong passion for coaching, particularly with helping clients achieve more than they think they are capable of. She has worked with a wide variety of athletes, including middle school, high school and adult.  As well as being a coach, Megan is a professional rock climber. She won the 2018 Collegiate Bouldering World Championship and has competed for Team USA on the World cup stage. Megan’s athletic journey in her sport gives her a unique ability to relate to her client’s needs and help them persevere, no matter where they are on their athletic journey.

Megan is a Certified Functional Strength Coach.

Alex Hughes

Strength & Conditioning

Alex joined the MBSC team as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in the fall of 2022 and got hired following his graduation in 2023. During that time, Alex also served as the Sprinting Coach at NCAA DI Merrimack College after competing for the team throughout his undergraduate degree. 

Alex received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree in Exercise & Sport Science from Merrimack College. He is also CFSC Level 2 Certified and First Aid, CPR & AED Certified. 

His background in sprinting created a love for speed & power which is one of his biggest passions in coaching. His coaching style and approach is shaped by his focused study of motivation & intent and he enjoys trying different ways to create passion and drive in his clients toward their goals.

Eric Daddario

Strength and Conditioning

Eric is a graduate of Clarkson University class of  2011, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Psychology. While attending Clarkson University, he played four seasons of Division I NCAA Ice Hockey. Eric is certified in the popularized Functional Movement Screen (FMS) through Gray Cook’s Functional Movement Systems,

Before joining the team at MBSC, Eric interned at Boston Physical Therapy & Wellness with the sports medicine team. During this time he worked alongside Physical Therapists to provide rehabilitation services to a diverse age range of clients through corrective exercise, strength training, and helping to reduce the risk of injury. He joined the MBSC team after completing the Spring 2016 internship program where he gained extensive knowledge of sports performance and strength and conditioning .Eric is certified in the performance enhancement specialist (PES) Through NASM.

Previously, Eric held various coaching positions. He coached on ice drills and assisted in Dry land exercises  for three summers in the USA Satellite Hockey Development program .  before moving on to coach young hockey athletes’ shooting techniques at Shoot To Score. He also spent one season as an Assistant Coach for the Belmont Hill Freshman Ice Hockey Team. Since Eric began his employment at MBSC, he has worked with a full range of student and adult athletes. Eric has used his years of coaching experience and his MBSC internship knowledge to train athletes to gain their full potential in a safe training environment. He helps clients reach their desired athletic goals while also instilling confidence.

Tim Day

Strength and Conditioning

Tim joined the MBSC team after completing his internship in the Fall of 2023. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Prior to joining MBSC, Tim has gained great knowledge as a strength and conditioning coach through past internships and work in the private sector in previous years. He has worked with all levels of athletes, including middle school, high school, and college athletes.

Tim strives to help his athletes and clients reach their highest potential both physically and mentally while creating a safe and fun environment for them. As an athlete himself, Tim has played football in the past. He also coached youth football in his hometown of Natick. Tim is an avid Patriots and Celtics fan and can be found playing pick-up basketball in his free time.

Tim is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Level 2 Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC).

Craig Halpin

Strength and Conditioning

Craig has been a member of the MBSC team since the summer of 2015. During his time at MBSC Craig has worked with a wide range of clients from elite division 1 athletes to youth hockey teams striving to improve athletic ability, and overall better movement and well-being.  Prior to joining the MBSC team Craig was earning his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science at Fitchburg State University. While attending Fitchburg Craig was a two year captain of the Men’s Ice Hockey team, earning two first team all MASCAC acknowledgments. Craig also has playing experience at the Junior A level, where he played In the Eastern Junior Hockey League for the New York Applecore.

Craig is currently coaching youth hockey in the Eastern Hockey Federation for the North Shore Shamrocks. Craig has a lot of experience bridging the gap between strength and conditioning and high school hockey giving committed players a safe place to learn how to train.

After working with many athletes over the past couple years Craig is focused on helping his players get to the next level. Whether that level is JV, Varsity or NCAA Craig is committed to helping his players on and off ice.

In addition to working with athletes Craig has experience working with a wide range of general population ranging from ages 12-75. Craig wants to help people reach their goals and help them stay on track to a long healthy life.

Nico Dandini

Strength and Conditioning/ Golf Performance Specialist

Nico joined the MBSC team after completing the summer 2015 internship. He studied Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While at UMass, he interned in the varsity weightroom for four semesters, and he played club ultimate frisbee for two semesters. He graduated from UMass in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.

In the UMass varsity weightroom, Nico coached Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Swim, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track, Women’s Tennis, and Women’s Rowing. He also coached at a private gym in Chicopee, MA called Train for Life for a year and a half. He helped working adults and middle school athletes move well, be strong, and enjoy life.

He specializes in golf performance for the serious golfer that wants to swing harder and more efficiently while reducing the chance for injury. He will give you a thorough physical assessment, a body-swing analysis, and a customized strength and conditioning program.

Nico’s certifications include  Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT), Functional Movement Screen (FMS Level 1), Complete Jumps Training (CJT), and Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC).

Jenny Fujii

Strength and Conditioning

Jenny joined the MBSC team after completing the winter 2018 internship.  She was introduced to MBSC by her children who began training here in during their middle school years.  Jenny joined the adult classes and enjoyed firsthand the benefits of functional training and smart programming.   Wanting to share this experience, she embarked on a second career as a strength coach and personal trainer having spent many years in management consulting and the start-up biotech industry.  In that first career she had the good fortunate to be a part of companies that went public and in the approval of an innovative product for Parkinson’s disease.

Jenny is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Functional Strength Coach. She lives in Lexington where she coaches town basketball and lacrosse teams.

Ben Connolly

Strength and Conditioning / Nutrition Coach
Co-Director of Internships

Ben’s goal in life is to help people move better and excel at doing the things they love. He joined the MBSC team after interning in the spring of 2019.

Ben graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology. After graduation, he worked as an Assistant Wellness Director with the YMCA of Greater Boston before his MBSC internship.

Ben has experience working with people of all shapes and sizes from young athletes to grandparents and everything in between. He is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), Precision Nutrition Coach (Pn1) and is certified in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS1).

When he isn’t coaching, Ben prefers to spend most of his free time in the mountains snowboarding or complaining about how there isn’t enough snow to go snowboarding.

Joe Squizzero

Strength and Conditioning

For as long as he can remember, Joe has had a passion for Health and Fitness.  After graduating from Melrose High School, Joe attended the National Personal Training Institute in Waltham, Ma.  As a student at NPTI he studied Exercise Science, Human Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology, and Weight Training.  The knowledge and skill he received at NPTI prepared him to be a successful trainer who can help his clients/athletics reach their goals and true potential.  Joe graduated in 2014 with a diploma in Personal Training.  He was then fortunate enough to complete an Internship at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning where he put all his knowledge in the field of fitness to use on a daily basis training numerous groups of athletes from Middle School, High School, and College level.

Joe is now employed at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning where every day is a learning experience.  Being part of the Team at Mike Boyle’s, has helped him to remain focused on his goals, and those of his clients.  Along with working at MBSC he is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Malden Catholic High School. He brings all of his education, skill, and effort to preparing his clients to reach success.  He looks forward to continuing his education in the field of Fitness, where he will continue to develop new skills, techniques, and insight into his profession.

Courtney Moulton

Strength and Conditioning

Courtney joined the MBSC team in the fall of 2020. During her time at MBSC, Courtney has worked with a wide range of clients from young middle school athletes to a range of high level and professional athletes. Her goal is to train all her clients to improve their overall athletic performance, decrease risk of injuries, and help them feel better both physically and mentally.

Prior to joining the MBSC team, Courtney received her bachelor’s degree from Salve Regina University. While attending Salve, Courtney was a member of both the Women’s Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams; she was a senior captain for both. After graduation, Courtney went on to play hockey for three years in Perth, Western Australia in the AWIHL. She served as a captain for the 2019/2020 season with the Inferno.

In addition to working at MBSC, Courtney is currently coaching youth hockey for the U16 New England Wildcats Girls. She also works one day a week with neurodiverse clients doing adaptive fitness.

Jess Tollman

Strength and Conditioning
Jess is passionate about helping people of all backgrounds and skill levels enhance their lives through fitness.  Jess joined the MBSC team after completing the summer 2021 internship.  Prior to MBSC, Jess worked as a physical education instructor, apprentice teacher, and residential counselor at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA.  She believes that physical and mental health are deeply interconnected and that both aspects can be elevated through a tailored strength and conditioning program.

Jess is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Association of Sports Medicine and a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC).  Jess earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 2015 where after studying social sciences, and played varsity soccer – winning both academic and athletic awards.  A lifelong learner, Jess pursues continuing education with the goal of providing the best possible service to her clients.

Sue Hess

Strength & Conditioning

Sue joined the MBSC team following her Fall 2021 internship. She realized how much she enjoyed strength and conditioning after living in DC and training in a program that was a custom mentorship from MBSC. She then joined the adult group at MBSC Woburn upon returning home to Boston in 2018.

Sue enjoys the challenge of helping people feel better and stronger, as well as reach personal goals. Her oldest of 3 children also has been training at MBSC for the past 3 years. Sue lives in Winchester and helps coach town soccer and can often be found dragging her 3 children up a mountain for a hike.

Sue is a Certified Functional Strength Coach and CPPC certified.

Gabe DeStefano

Strength & Conditioning

Coach Gabe joined the team following his summer internship. His football and weight room experience made him a quick fit to the MBSC squad.

Following his enlistment in the U.S Army where he served as an Airbourne Infantryman, Coach Gabe recently graduated from UMass Boston with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Health Science. Before his time in service, Gabe played football for Salve Regina University in Newport RI.

Gabe’s passion is to help people live healthier and stronger lives. He’s a Certified Functional Strength Coach CFSC Level 1.

Bryan Hemp

Strength & Conditioning

Bryan joined MBSC after completing his internship during the summer of 2024. Originally hailing from California, he launched his career in the fitness industry in 2015, focusing on large group classes centered around weight loss transformation programs. In 2017, he became a personal trainer at the “Biggest Loser Resort,” a facility affiliated with the popular TV show “The Biggest Loser.” Over the years, Bryan has dedicated himself to helping hundreds of individuals achieve their fitness aspirations.

Bryan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a focus on Human Performance Manchester University in Indiana. At MBSC, he enjoys the privilege of coaching both adults and athletes of all ages, while also volunteering with both Boston University’s men’s and women’s hockey teams.

Throughout his diverse journey across the U.S., Bryan has remained committed to his core mission: helping others reach their fitness goals in the healthiest and safest way possible.

Cullen McCadden

Strength & Conditioning

Cullen joined the MBSC team after completing the summer internship in 2024. He loves to help people build confidence and create positive gym experiences. His past experiences as a baseball and basketball player have taught him what it means to be part of a team and how to come back stronger from setbacks.

Cullen is working towards his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Merrimack College. He is committed to continually learning to provide the best possible service to everyone he coaches.

Cullen is a CFSC Level 2 Certified Coach.

Steve Bunker

Head Strength Coach Middleton Facility
Concussion Safety Certified

Prior to joining the staff at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Steve Bunker practiced law as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Steve earned degrees from the following institutions: BA from Wake Forest University; JD from Suffolk University in Boston; BS in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts.

He is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a USA Weightlifting Club Coach.

In addition to coaching athletes of all levels and ages, Steve is the Education and Internship Coordinator at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning.
